Set on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and combine.


Slow Cooker Ham Split Pea Soup Sweet and Savory Meals

Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker.

Ham soup slow cooker. Place beans, onions, ham bone (or diced ham), broth/water, garlic and chili powder in a 6qt slow cooker. Add the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker. Remove the ham bone and bay leaves.

Nestle your ham bone into the center of the beans. Step 2 stir potatoes and. To the slow cooker, add the ham bone (or diced or shredded ham), stock, 2 cups water, tomatoes, potatoes, bay leaf, smoked paprika, chili powder, black pepper, and rosemary or thyme.

Cover and cook on low, 8 hours to overnight. The next morning, drain beans then add to a 6 or 7 quart slow cooker. Combine ham hock, onions, carrot, water, chicken base, sage, thyme, and rosemary in a large slow cooker.

Cover and cook on high for approximately 6 hours or until the beans are tender. Serve with a bakery butter. I typically prefer to cook my bean.

Add meaty ham bone, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, chicken broth and 2 cups water. One the beans are soft and tender, carefully remove the ham bone and place it on a cutting board. Chop up any meat if needed.

Remove ham bone, bay leaves and thyme stems (if using fresh thyme). Stir and cook an additional 15. Cover and cook until the beans are tender.
